We've always intuitively known our Values at Sten10, but have never gone through the disciplined process of defining them explicitly. I was keen to include a 'so what' factor and so we have tried to consider what this means in practical terms for clients working with us and for people who choose to join the Sten10 team. Here, I share our newly-minted values along with their practical application:
Specialist: We know our stuff
We go deep and narrow into the world of people assessment and development and don’t try to sell work types we are not absolute experts in. We keep our knowledge up-to-date. We learn about new trends in the industry and we share our knowledge with others. We have high quality standards, and we leave our clients delighted with the level of expertise we provide.
What this feels like as one of our clients
1.?????We will apply psychological rigour and deep practical expertise every step of the way.
2.?????We will ensure that our tools and assessments measure what they were designed to do, for the purpose they were intended for.?
3.?????We will use our well-developed consultancy processes so that you experience an orderly and well-structed approach to project delivery.

1.?????We hold ‘lunch and learns’ and often discuss interesting topics to share knowledge, ideas and expertise.
2.?????We attend psychology and wider industry events e.g. ISE.
3.?????We don’t ‘blag’ and we say if we are unsure of something
4.?????We regularly undertake training and webinars to enhance our knowledge and skills.
5.?????We work with associates and experts in the industry.

We role model integrity in everything we do. We become our clients’ trusted partners by sharing our views on what is working and what can be improved upon: openly and supportively. We meet our commitments. Ethical principles guide our recommendations and actions.
What this feels like as one of our clients
1.?????You can rely on us to act as trusted partners and we will only recommend what we think is right for you.
2.?????We are publisher agnostic, so we are not obliged to force particular products or approaches upon you, unlike other providers.
3.?????We will support and guide you to ensure that your assessment and development processes are fair, objective and legally defensible.
4.?????We always meet with our commitments and aim to never miss a deadline. We will flag in advance if this is a possibility. You will never have a surprise delay or unexpected bill from us.?
5.?????You can speak with us, without feeling obliged to offer work to us in return. We are a great believer in what goes around comes around and are happy to offer our views and advice freely.

4.?????Through developing a real understanding of what the client wants, we are able to pivot and suggest other alternatives that still solve their problem.
