  1. Acing the Interview? – ? American Chemical Society (ACS): The ACS is providing a FREE virtual career guidance session that will feature a presentation reviewing the critical steps to prepare, stand out, and do your best in a virtual interview. It will be led by ACS certified Career Consultant Heinz Plaumann, Ph.D. This event will take place Tomorrow, Thursday, April 6th at 12pm ET. Find the link to registration highlighted here.
  2. The Nucleus Newsletter: The primary publication of NESACS, celebrating its 100th volume. It shares news and updates on NESACS events and activities, along with special articles and features that are relevant to our chemistry community.   3. Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions – Physician Assistant (PA) & Occupational Therapy (OT) Informational Session: Are you interested in a career as a PA or OT? MGBH is holding an informational session for Simmons students, which will discuss how to prepare applications for PA and OT programs, obtaining patient contact hours, what the application timeline looks like, and much more!   4. Northeast Student Chemistry Research Conference at BU: You won't want to miss this amazing event! On April 22nd at Boston University, there’s a full-day celebration of the innovative research being done by undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral chemistry students. This is a unique opportunity for students to present their work in a relaxed and supportive environment. The presentations will take a variety of forms, including engaging oral talks, dynamic lightning talks, and informative poster sessions. Plus, they will have Dr. Judith Giordan, current ACS President, as their keynote speaker! The best part? Outstanding presentations will be recognized with awards across a range of categories.   5. STEM Student Presentations: We're thrilled to see that our students are engaged in a diverse range of intriguing research projects this year! While the UG symposium won't be taking place, our STEM faculty strongly encourages you to showcase your work. There are several compelling reasons to do so: not only will it be interesting for the entire STEM community at Simmons, but it will also help you hone your interview skills and better prepare you for grad school. Plus, highlighting your research experience is always a great addition to your resume! The event will be held April 26th at the Linda K. Paresky Conference Center. Medical Laboratory Science Training Program – Mass General Brigham Deadline: Saturday, Apr 15, 2023: The Mass General Brigham Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Training Program is designed to prepare students for a career in the dynamic and ever-evolving field of laboratory medicine. The Mass General Brigham MLS program trains future laboratory scientists through a rigorous and integrated curriculum, including hands-on didactic instruction, on-site clinical experiences, and online learning. As a student in the program, you will train under highly experienced laboratory professionals employed by Mass General Brigham Clinical Laboratories.
