Stellantis

Wanted to write this article earlier but never really got the chance to do it due to the scheduling of my job and other factors that have come into play but not able to put my finger on it. It has to do with the auto industry and why one US automaker isn't doing very well while the other ones are doing good after some hiccups with the economy. The automaker I am talking about is Chrysler or Fiat Chrysler which has been renamed to Stellantis after merging with the likes of Peugeot Group.

Out of the three automakers in the US, only Stellantis has managed to struggle after the economic meltdown of 2009 while GM and Ford have been able to get out of the struggle while Ford was the only one which found a way to get out of the meltdown with GM following after that. Now I was just watching some news on CNBC about Stellantis and it was talking about why the automaker had been struggling for sometime and I will just give out my observations as to why this has been going on while GM and Ford have been thriving.

First off I will say that Chrysler, Fiat, Dodge, Ram, Alfa Romeo and Jeep have been struggling since they haven't been able to keep up with the supply of cars due to the fact that most customers haven't been buying them as of late and as a result having dealers not able to get rid of their recent stock since most have been sitting there in their lots for a long time especially with their truck line up while GM and Ford trucks have been selling for the longest time that I can remember.

I have watched the video and not one word was mentioned about their Fiat and Alfa Romeo brand since the focus was on their American models and what brought me to conclude that Fiat and Alfa Romeo had been struggling for the company too which is too bad because I thought that these two Italian brands would help them get off the ground but they haven't due to running into some stuff competition when it comes to foreign luxury brands and foreign brands in general.

So, I would say that Stellantis has its work cut out for and it will take a long while before they get back in the saddle when it comes to car sales.
