STEKK needs your help! (Dutch below)

Dear friends and colleagues, as some of you might know I’ve developed the STEKK Lock Block. A tool which secures the USB-cable firmly into the camerabody improving the tethered-photography workflow. With the Lock Block a photographer can shoot freely out of hand and keep a stable connection between camera and computer at all time. But maybe the most important quality of the Lock Block is that it protects your camera’s sensitive ports and connectors. A lot of photographers learned the hard way that damaging the camera’s sensitive usb-connectors can easily lead to a repair costing up to 800 euro’s This is because the primary circuit board of your camera body must be fully replaced.

Why do I need your help?

I want every photographer to know about the STEKK Lock Block!

I have been able to operate on my own up to this point. But marketing, sales, distribution, advertising and a whole lot of other disciplines are not really my specialty. Therefore I’m asking your help to find the right people to cooperate with and who can help me lift the: STEKK Lock Block up to a higher level.

Despite the simple design, concept and easy usability the STEKK Lock Block has taken more than three years to develop. I had to developed this tool besides my work as photographer. This way and I was able to keep control of the proces and make STEKK really how I wanted to be. Together with my private savings I was able to keep investing in the development of this product. This proces was not easy, besides time and money I had a lot of other obstacles to overcome. 

My goal was to develop and launch this product without financial support from a bank or investor and I think I succeed this far. STEKK already has happy customers in the Netherlands, France, Spain, Slovenia, Australia, Canada and the USA. But STEKK Lock Block wants to be known all over the world! I want every photographer to know about this revolutionary tool!

And therefore I want to ask your help: All advice is welcome and everybody can contact me: Consultants, brand specialist, marketing specialist, entrepreneurs, possible business partners, or anybody else who knows what it takes to bring this product to every photographer in the world.

STEKK heeft jouw hulp nodig!

Beste vrienden en collega’s, zoals veel van jullie al weten heb ik de STEKK Lock Block ontwikkeld. Een tool waarmee de USB-kabel in de camerabody wordt gezekerd en hiermee het werkproces van tethered-fotograferen flink verbeterd. Met de Lock Block kan de fotograaf uit de hand fotograferen en houdt daarbij altijd een stabiele verbinding met de computer. Maar de belangrijkste eigenschap van de Lock Block is misschien wel dat het de gevoelige poorten en aansluitingen van de camerabody beschermt. Veel fotografen hebben op een minder leuke manier ontdekt dat het beschadigen van je USB-poort kan leiden tot een reparatie van wel 800 euro. Dit komt omdat het volledige moederbord van de camera moet worden vervangen.

Waarom heb ik je hulp nodig?

Ik wil dat elke fotograaf op de wereld de STEKK Lock Block kent!

Tot nu toe ben ik in staat geweest alleen te opereren. Maar marketing, sales, distributie, reclame en van heel wat andere disciplines ben ik geen specialist. Integendeel, daarbij zou ik nog wel wat hulp kunnen gebruiken! Daarom wil ik bij deze het hulp van mijn netwerk vragen zodat ik de juiste mensen kan vinden om STEKK Lock Block naar een hoger niveau te tillen.

Ondanks het simpele ontwerp, concept en het makkelijke gebruik heeft het meer dan drie jaar geduurd om de STEKK Lock Block te ontwikkelen. Ik heb de Lock Block ontwikkeld naast mijn werk als fotograaf. Hierdoor was ik in staat controle te houden over het gehele proces en zo heb ik de Lock Block kunnen ontwikkelen zoals ik voor ogen had. Samen met mijn privé spaargeld was het mogelijk te blijven investeren in de ontwikkeling van dit product. Dit was geen gemakkelijke proces, behalve tijd en geld moest ik een heleboel andere obstakels overwinnen.

Mijn doel was om dit product te lanceren zonder financi?le hulp van een bank of investeerder en dat is behoorlijk gelukt! STEKK heeft al tevreden klanten in Nederland, Frankrijk, Spanje, Sloveni?, Australi?, Canada, De Verenigde Staten en Japan.Maar nog lang niet iedereen is bekend met dit product en de STEKK Lock Block wil graag wereldwijd bekend worden. Ik wil dat elke fotograaf dit revolutionair stukje gereedschap leert kennen!
