Preparing for the flexibility needs of the electricity system
When considering the rapid emergence of renewable energy production forms and new types of electricity consumption in Finland, the necessity of flexibility is only a matter of time.
As the magnitude of fluctuations in electricity production and consumption increases, flexibility is also needed for the needs of distribution networks. In distribution networks, flexibility is used to solve local transmission challenges, such as bottlenecks or power quality challenges, which improves the security of supply of the electricity network. In the future, market changes, regulatory developments, and proactive investments by network companies will be needed.

The Energy and Information Network Industry Trade Fair gathered professionals on electric power, telecommunications, information, heating, and gas networks all under the same roof a couple weeks ago.
We participated to the event with our spin-off company, Groundhawk.io , a solution that utilizes 3D scanning in underground cable mapping and documentation.

We are excited to have gotten Kalle Ryymin to our team as a new Sales Manager ??
Kalle is passionate about understanding customers, and finding solutions to their challenges – now focusing on serving the industrial sector and product development. Especially he brings in strong expertise in solution sales and international sales.
Where to find him after working hours then? Probably doing some high-adrenaline activity, like motorcycle riding and rope climbing. He and his wife even spent their honeymoon in Spain, climbing for most of the trip ??
