The holidays can throw even the best routines out the window. Whether it's schedules packed with events, travel, and family time - or just the disruption of everyone else on a different mode - it’s common to let movement take a backseat.
But staying active doesn’t have to mean sticking to a rigid workout schedule. Finding new ways to practice strategic movement could be the KEY to feeling great consistently, whether your plans are packed or quiet!
Here are three quick tips to keep your body moving and your energy flowing:
1?? Think Short and Sweet: Ten-minute bursts of movement add up! Try bodyweight exercises like squats, push-ups, or planks between holiday prep tasks.
2?? Prioritize Functional Movement: Incorporate movement into your day. Take the stairs, park farther away, or turn chores like vacuuming into a mini workout.
3?? Bring the Family Along: Go for a brisk walk after a holiday meal, or do a quick yoga flow together. Movement doesn’t have to be solo!
4?? Get to the Gym!: Many of us DON'T have big plans for the holiday! This is a great time to START that class you've been meaning to - or to spend time on the treadmill, watching a new program you've been meaning to binge! Take this time to feel freaking awesome!!!
