Stay on Track This Summer By Planning Fun!

Stay on Track This Summer By Planning Fun!

Have you ever had a day where every single thing played out exactly like you planned? Ha! Didn't think so! Yet, we still plan each day like the sales professionals we are to ensure our day is successful. Right?

The summer is here, and it's an easy temptation to blow off the planned day to play golf or hit the beach or pool! After all, we all need time for fun, but before we disrupt a planned day, consider a backup plan!

Step 1

Remind yourself it's ok to ditch a planned day to go golf occasionally. If you do, take a prospect or client with you. Golf is an excellent activity to relax and have fun showing the prospect and client your lighter side.

Step 2

Decide how many days this summer you are willing to set aside for fun days with clients and prospects. Perhaps you'll invite them to a summer evening barbeque or a civic event like a local outdoor concert.

Step 3

Make a list of prospects and clients that need more cultivating. Include them in your list of guests to invite to a summer outing. Use it as an opportunity to introduce them to other prospects and clients that can benefit from their business. Make it a win/win for everyone.

Planning ahead for how to handle an occasional day where you simply want to blow off the day will be valuable down the road. Put together a list of prospects/clients that you want to cultivate and have it handy when the time comes. And be sure to plan those special events that include your best clients.
