Mrs. Ruth Castillo is currently the Senior Vice President of Career Services and Alumni Relations, at the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, where she provides executive leadership, vision, and administration of a comprehensive range of resources that serves as a bridge from advanced education to career entry, by providing training and information, as well as access, to top employers, internships, and full-time employment. In her role she also participates in all aspects of the planning and execution of the Scholar conferences and programs.
A major part of Ms. Castillo’s role is to develop and manage HSF’s on-line Career Center, a proprietary, online, interactive resource that serves as a bridge from advanced education to career entry, by providing training and information, as well as access, to top employers, internships, and full-time employment. She also manages the development of content for HSF’s scholar conferences, leadership development, and workplace preparedness programs.
Ms. Castillo is a staffing industry veteran who served as a Branch Manager and Business Development Manager for leading national and international Staffing and Executive Search Firms. She has helped her clients grow and increase their productivity during high staffing shortage periods and has developed succession planning programs as methods of creating healthy talent pipelines for the future.
Ms. Castillo has been the recipient of multiple “Founders’ Club,” “Rising Star,” and Staffing industry awards. She credits her success to her ability to implement customized strategies that identify, attract, hire, and retain the best talent in the market. She believes that every single person plays a vital role to the overall success of an organization, and she is passionate about “Matchmaking.”
Ms. Castillo holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies with an emphasis in Business Administration from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Human Resources from Keller Graduate School in Long Beach, California.
