Is inner peace a lofty goal or does it remains in the background?
The idea for inner peace has been around since ancient times. People were practicing different methods to find inner peace. Some became hermits like the monks. Others practiced meditation and tried to become one with nature. This lofty idea has withstood time and is still here nowadays. But is it as important as it was before? Do we still pay as much attention to mental development?
The idea of inner peace nowadays
We lead a busy life. Our schedules are full, people have kids, and house to take care off. We hardly find time for ourselves. How is it supposed to practice finding our inner peace in this mess?
Things don't work exactly that way. Right now humanity's knowledge is expanding at the speed of light. Scientists are finding cures for deadly diseases, we are trying to understand the Universe, the human capabilities are expanding. We are aware of all these things. Humanity is starting to understand how much more it can achieve. This leads to an interest in personal development.
If you open the Internet, you’ll find so many articles related to mindfulness, inner peace, mantras, chakras, etc. After scientists said that we live in a 10-dimensional world we understood how limited our abilities are.
“There are so many things beyond our five senses! How can we see them?” this thought is in the minds of billions of people around the world. It encourages us to grow. The idea of inner peace isn’t forgotten. Our knowledge of this topic has grown wildly and now it takes an important place in our lives.
Who is more interested in the idea of inner peace?
It’s hard to tell who is more interested in achieving inner peace – youngsters on adults. It’s safe to say that the result depends on your personality and the environment you’re developing in.
Show me your friends and I'll show you your future.
If you communicate with spiritual people, happy people, people who practice meditation, etc. you’ll most probably obtain their manners. You will share their love for inner peace and show interest in this sphere of development. This rule applies to every other scenario. Start hanging out with smarter and more successful people than you are and the urge to not get left behind will help you to grow.
The rush keeps holding me back
Is it possible to be in peace with yourself with our busy lifestyle? YES! Inner peace will help you survive in this wild jungle. Otherwise, you’ll go mad.
I suppose you’ve read numerous articles and books about how to achieve this goal. There is all this stuff about meditation, practicing mindfulness, visualization, silence, and so on. I’m not saying these techniques don’t work. I practice them all the time. My idea is different. What if I told you that there is another book with some unique techniques? It’s personalized for every person in this world. And what’s more, you don’t need to read it. You already know how to execute all the steps in the book. How? This manual is inside your soul. Try to dig deeper inside you and find it.
You don’t believe me? I’m talking nonsense? Okay, here is what. I’ll write some exclusive techniques from the book. Read them carefully. Some of them may appeal to you. Try them because these practices can be part of your book.
Finding Inner Peace in the 21st century
Just as our identities are different, so are our approaches to things.
Break the silence rule
I love sitting in silence. It works flawlessly but so does another technique. Imagine how you turn on the headphones and listen to your favorite songs. It feels like a disco inside your head.
The effect of music on our brains is mesmerizing. It’s directly related to our emotions. Everyone has a song which makes him happy or sad. Happiness is connected to inner peace. Here is the visual representation of what I just said:
Don’t talk – shout
There’s an advice that states:
“When you have an internal conflict or feel down have a conversation with yourself internally. Don’t talk. Don’t cry. Connect with your inner self.”
This works but in certain situations. There’s an emotional state which I call “emotional overstuffing”. It’s when a mixture of anger, sadness, depression, happiness, and fear starts to torture you.
What you have to do is to strike back. Don’t let this emotional bomb to explode inside you and hurt your beautiful soul. It’s time to get rid of it.
Go to a quiet place and shout. Let it all out!
Conclusion
You take the lead from now. When we begin to understand ourselves on a deeper level life starts to feel more comfortable. Gather courage and go find your peace. Strive boldly!
