Stay In The Fire

I practice yoga everyday, for a lot of different reasons.

Whether I am walking on sunshine, or struggling with something.

When triggered, by someone or something.

To challenge my weaknesses, test my strength.

I practice to break old habits and create new ones.

To clear my head,?so I am able to put words to what I am feeling.

To drop the doubts and?all of the stuff that comes up for me when I'm not feeling seen, heard or valued.

I practice to remind myself, that staying silent is no longer an option for me_ to each day rekindle the courage to speak up and use the power of my voice.

To say what I need to say, ALWAYS regardless of what it stirs up in others and?even in myself.

To remind myself?it’s my birthright to feel respected, set healthy boundaries, and to always ask for what I need.?

I practice so I can keep giving pushback to old patterns of mine that I have been so darn loyal to,?but have offered me zero growth in return.

I practice willingly so that I may meet myself on my mat, at my edge over, and over again.

To breathe, sweat and feel it all, until I land in my bones.

All it takes is one moment in time, where just a tiny little space needs to open up for everything to shift.

When I stay in the pose, and allow myself to move through the other side of the discomfort where the light of all that is possible is revealed.
