to Stay or to Escape?

The dilemma of "to stay or to escape"

"Since two years ago, I worked on a printed t-shirt with two phrases:

1- "If every time people found something difficult, they abandoned it, then neither worldly affairs nor religion would have ever been established for people." This is a quote by The Muslim Caliph Umar ibn Abdul Aziz, may Allah have mercy on him, and it conveys a very important message, which is that escaping is not the solution, but rather facing and attempting is the optimal solution. It means that whenever you encounter something difficult, don't give up and look for something else, because most things are difficult in the beginning, and some things remain difficult for a long time until you master them, and the difficulty may even reoccur in the future.

Sayed: Okay, now I understand. So if I encounter something difficult, I will try once, twice, and a million times until I succeed.

= That's the spirit we need, my son! ???

On the back of the T-shirt, there was another quote that says:

2- "If you can't do something, let it go and move on to what you can do."

Sayed: What's this?

= Sing it, Abu Seed (his nickname) "If you can't do something, let it gooooo and move on to what you can doooooo!" ??

This quote tells you that if you enter something and find that you can't do it, leave it and go to something else that you can do.

Sayed: No, boss, it's because I understand things my way, you will make fun of me and create quotes according to your mood. Just a while ago, you told me to continue with something difficult and not give up, and now you're telling me to let it go. Who is right, sir?

= Actually, Abu Seed, you can't say who is right or wrong because both are right. Yes, don't look at it this way, both are right. They are not contradictory, but we can find a common ground between them. Both of them have a point.

*Point*

So, the question is: "To stay or to escape"? ??

It's a delicate balance between staying and not giving up, and escaping and not wasting your time on something you can't achieve. It's a very subtle point that only a few people can comprehend.

? You know when this matter hasn't taken enough time from you yet, and you haven't tried enough, that's the first scenario.

? You know when this matter has taken more time than necessary in attempts, and you let it go, that's the second scenario.

And the truth is, most people fall into the first scenario, where they try and get tired or find it difficult and escape.

And the second scenario is for the monsters and the warriors who always feel inadequate and that they haven't put in enough effort, even though they might have exhausted everything they had. They always feel inadequate.

○If you think I'm going to tell you what this subtle point is, you're mistaken because the matter is not that easy, and I don't have enough experience to guide you. I'm just trying to touch a sensitive spot that might help you identify the problem yourself or seek the help of a suitable professional.

And my advice for you to understand this delicate point is as follows:

1- Seek guidance from Allah and ask for His assistance and facilitation in what is best for you.

2- Seek advice: Consult those around you and seek the advice of experts in this matter. Have I done what I was supposed to do, or am I still lacking? (Try to consult a wise person, not someone who will put you down or someone who trivializes your efforts.)

3- Does this matter require all this effort? Is this matter important enough to waste all this time or not? For example, if it's a game that you've been trying to learn for a month, it's okay, let it go and focus on something that benefits you. Or if you maybe are trying to learn a skill that might take a bit longer or trying to learn the Quran or raise your children or develop yourself. It's okay if you spend your entire life trying as these are beneficial things to do.

4- Be honest with yourself and accept your weaknesses: Don't be fragile and give up quickly, but at the same time, it's perfectly normal if you don't know how to do something. Don't pretend it's okay. It's perfectly normal if it's not your thing.

5- Learn about yourself over time and try to figure out what connects these two points. Maybe you can write in the comments what you think it is. ??
