Stay Connected
People are talking about working with routine to maintain sanity during this lock down period. I totally agree and endeavour to do just that.
The bigger lesson I am learning however is about staying in contact with the world - personal and business.
Every day I start my routine with a walk – and the part I look forward to most is saying hello to neighbours. These are people who live in close proximity that I never normally see or hear from. Most people are glad of the chance of talk with someone new or essentially different to immediate family.
I recently met a Care Worker hiking up the hill to visit her clients. It gave me the opportunity to hear firsthand what it is like on the front line. It certainly put things in perspective.
My advice would be to make use of all forms of communication open to you.
On a work basis we are doing our utmost to keep in touch with clients and candidates alike – this situation isn’t going to last forever and we need to be positive and think beyond it.
We have been making particular use of Linkedin to show that we are still here and will be here when our clients need us.
We are very happy to talk and stay connected.

4 年I am talking to more people on my daily walk than i have before. I keep thinking for some it may be the only people they see all day so like to welcome them with a smile!
