Stay calm but determined

#newdaynewchapter is a Blog narrative started on March 1, 2021 co-founded by Kishore Shintre & Sonia Bedi, to write a new chapter everyday for making "Life" and not just making a "living"
A man went to a great spiritual master with his problems and he hoped he would get the answer. He asked spiritual master, “ I got huge loss in my business, I lost my wife as I was unable to pay her medical bills, I am devastated, I am broken, I feel I am no more worthy to live on this planet, I tried to attempt suicide but couldn’t do so.” Please suggest me the way to come out of all these problems. Spiritual master gazed to the man. Why are you just staring me, I am in great dither, please suggest me something valuable to come out of this disaster. “Relax and take it easy.”
The man became furious with this answer, he said, “ I have come to you, because I heard your name that you have answer of every question and you are suggesting me ridiculous answer. Spiritual master remained calm and said, “When you were born, you were alone and when you will die then also you die alone. I am not telling you to ignore your wife, your wealth and other things, but these things became attached with you. What is unattached with you, it is you. You can lose everything but what you don’t lose, it is you. “
Whatever the best you could do, you did and you have proved yourself. But there are some uncontrollable factors of life and we are unknown about that. so, for living this life which god has given you, remain calm, be witness of each moments, because nothing is permanent in this world. Relax and take it easy.
Does it serve any purpose to get upset? Most of the time it serves no purpose. Immediately stop all comparisons with other human beings. Take good sleep every night. Chat with your loved ones for a few minutes every day without fail. Talk to yourself in stress. Ask questions, answer questions, find a solution. Whatever you do, take tiny breaks after an hour or so, and relax for a few minutes. Take a few days off after every quarter and travel away from the place. Acceptance is the key to a calm mind. ‘What happened was your fate. What you can do is your deeds.’
When you feel outburst of emotions, wash your face, or go to the roof and shout, or do some exercise, or take a break and do some shopping or eat something. Don't let it overwhelm you. Dedicate your time in helping human and animals. It boosts self-esteem and makes you calmer. Try to live a minimalistic lifestyle, higher the aspirations and materialism; more will be complexities. Do your deeds because you have to do them, don't expect anything in return. If you are not atheist, visit any religious shrine and talk to God, narrate your miseries and hand them over your fate and walk outside free and light.

Other people's expectations are their business and not your business; your business is to do what you can and enjoy your life. Eat dinner a bit early, and have a mild walk after that, so that your stomach gets to relax before you sleep. Every night, remember your luxuries and thank God for them. Have your goals in the back of the mind and focus on your routine in normal life, do your chores well. Fill your time gaps with hobbies, so that there isn't any scope of overthinking.
Try, and do some of your chores sometimes, like cooking, making your bed, cleaning your cupboard, ironing your clothes, it gives you a sense of importance of everything. In stressful situations, remember the love of your parents and respect your fate, and simply give your best. Respect failures and miseries, as they give you free tuition of wisdom and strength for the future. Don't engage too much with society, like social media, gossiping, having countless friends. Be connected and simultaneously be indifferent; make a balance.
Past is dead; you are not, don't keep digging its grave, the dead body will only stink and not do any good. Future is uncertain, no matter how much you plan, or stay stressed, or worry, there is always a major chance that something altogether unexpected may happen, so respect uncertainty and stay calm. Most of the time, getting upset about a negative situation only serves to prolong and intensify that situation. Getting upset about something you don’t want will usually do nothing to make things better, and will likely make things worse. Instead of becoming upset, become more determined. Instead of throwing your time and energy away, put them to positive use.
When you’re upset you can often make foolish and costly mistakes, which will get you even more upset. When, on the other hand, you decide to remain calm and determined, you’ll make solid, steady progress. Getting upset is a choice, and becoming more determined is also a choice. Make the choice that will move you forward. The less time you spend being upset, the more time you make to truly live and grow. Cheers!
