Status of Traffic Violation Courts As of Today, March 25, 2020
In the mist of this corona pandemic, our office remains here for our clientele. Currently we are working remotely but we are still here to answers any questions or concerns regarding new or old tickets.
New York City Traffic Courts have closed temporarily. Any cases scheduled for hearings between March 18th through April 20th will be postponed by New York State.
Office of Administrative Trials and Hearing Court (Oath) trials are not being held in person until April. OATH is currently rescheduling any in-person hearings. Even though the court is closed they did give the option of holding your hearing via phone.
Suffolk County Traffic and Parking Violation Agency has been closed to the public since March 16th. Any hearings or trials within that time period will automatically be rescheduled to a later date. If you still do receive a Suffolk County ticket, the Not Guilty pleas are still due by the date listed on your ticket.
Nassau County Traffic & Parking Violation Agency due to the Corona virus has been closed since March 13, 2020 until further notice. Cases will automatically be adjourned to a later date. Nassau is following the same policy as Suffolk county. Not Guilty pleas are still due by the date listed on the ticket.
Many small courts in New York State have been closing as well. Letters of postponement have been sent via mail.
Even though all of traffic courts are closed until further notice, Police and State Troopers are still issuing tickets. If you happen to receive a new ticket and need help fighting the ticket please call our office on any of the following numbers
