Status of INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook Edition 5th ( Update 2 )

As part of the Editorial Team, let me inform you all that we have really good news, INCOSE Systems Engineering Edition 5th is on track and stays on schedule.?

With the prototype draft of the 5th Edition in March 2021, we had a great start towards a revision from April to June 2021 ( the figure below shows key statistics )?that provided many useful insights.?

In the last four months the Editorial Team has completed the initial dispositioning of the 1264 comments received from the review of the prototype draft from 254 registered reviewers. The review feedback has led the Editorial Team to do some additional restructuring of the prototype draft, as well as identify areas and contents that may benefit from some additional changes.??

?To be ready for the final review in 2022, the Editorial Team needs to refine the prototype draft per the feedback received from the above review. So, it will be time for the authors to work on the final version of each section.?The following is the timeline in 2022 for the preparation of the final review:

? January 29-February 1 : Group sessions and Author/Working Group smaller sessions will be scheduled at IW22 to answer questions and ensure everyone is in synchronization.

? January-March 2022: Updated author inputs of each section

? July-August 2022: Final Review

The end is progressively closer !!!?
