Status of eIDAS implementing acts due for 21/11/2024
The first 5 implementing acts for the European Digital Identity Wallets have been published today (4/12/2024) on the EU Official Journal and enter into force on 24/12/2024.
These implementing acts means that now the clock started for the availability of the availability of the EUDI Wallet in each Member State of the EU:
"each Member State shall provide at least one European Digital Identity Wallet within 24 months of the date of entry into force of the implementing acts referred to in paragraph?23" of article 5a.
Four implementing acts are for Article?5a "European Digital Identity Wallets" requested by Art. 5a(23):

The 5th Implementing act is for the EUDI Wallet certification, as requested by by Art. 5c(6) for the requirements in Art. 5c(1), (2) and (3): Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2981 of 28?November 2024 laying down rules for the application of Regulation (EU) No?910/2014 of the European Parliament and the Council as regards the certification of European Digital Identity Wallets.
They were adopted by the European Commission on 28/11/2024, after the positive vote in the eIDAS Committee on 21/11/2024.
The remaining Implementing acts foreseen for the 21/11/2024 are delayed until Q1/2025 (likely March 2025) and are now in public review:

(1)?Providers ... shall issue their attestations to natural or legal persons according to the specifications established in the standard listed below: (a)?ETSI TS 119 471 V0.0.10. (2024-11) ... (2) Providers ... shall issue their attestations in one of the following common formats:? (a) One of the standards in the list set out in Annex I of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/XXX ... as regards the integrity and core functionalities of European Digital Identity Wallets. 3 个月Andrea Caccia so for Article 5f/strong user authentication, that was dependent from 5a(23) and Article 5c(6), do we now have the official date set for 24/12/2027? ?? (4/12 +20 days = Christmas Gift..) "private relying parties shall, no later than 36 months from the date of entry into force of the implementing acts referred to in Article 5a(23) and Article 5c(6)"
