Descriptive statistics provide a snapshot of the data and aid in understanding its central tendencies, variability, and distribution.
2?? Inferential Statistics: Inferential statistics allows us to draw conclusions and make predictions about a population based on a sample. It involves hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, and determining the statistical significance of relationships or differences. Inferential statistics helps us generalize findings from a sample to the larger population.
3?? Probability: Probability is the likelihood of an event occurring. It provides a framework for quantifying uncertainty and randomness in data. Probability concepts, such as independent and dependent events, conditional probability, and the laws of probability, are fundamental in statistical analysis.
4?? Sampling Techniques: Sampling techniques are used to select a representative subset of data from a larger population. Common sampling methods include simple random sampling, stratified sampling, cluster sampling, and systematic sampling. Appropriate sampling ensures that the sample accurately reflects the population, increasing the validity of statistical analysis.
5?? Correlation and Regression: Correlation measures the strength and direction of the relationship between two variables. Regression analysis helps us understand how one variable (dependent variable) is influenced by other variables (independent variables). Correlation and regression analysis enable us to identify associations and predict outcomes based on relationships in the data.
