Stating the Obvious!

"Faster then a speeding Stupid" Able to leap mountains of Disinformation, look, up in your brain, its a clue, its the truth its Captain Obvious! For closing on twenty years I've been screaming into the then young Metaverse that was the internet that the current economic system is incompatible with adapting to or ameliorating climate change. The current economic system has its roots in the Agricultural age when climate change went from swings of freezing and frying to a more dependable climate for growing and raising food. Surplus needed to be managed and, move forward twelve thousand years of resource allocation inequality.

Twelve thousand years of some having lavish resources while others perished due to a system which allotted some criminally more than others. A blood soaked history of Monarchs expanding "their" lands to appease their egos, people across the globe treated worse than animals who could provide other services for their mutual Masters. Now, twenty two years into the twenty-first century and real slavery still exists, but more pernicious and insidious is that a majority of the people on earth are wage slaves; their freedom from absence of necessities held for ransom to selling hours of their lives.

When I say "The current economic system and the governance one that goes with it are incompatible with the challenges we're facing with Climate Change, I'm stating the obvious. The current system was designed for a world brimming with resources, expansion of populations and societies was the natural response. Today we face declining resources and interestingly enough birth rates are down. So mother nature herself is saying its time to return to a more egalitarian and disperse population system we practiced for the more than one hundred and eighty thousand years of modern humans two hundred thousand year existence on Earth.

Sadly my superhero powers, opposite Superman's, are only evident on my home world if an economic system like this existed it would have been in the distant past. On my planet I wouldn't wear an outfit because people did the obvious and changed with circumstances, were not addicted to an economic system that did not serve them any longer or was unjust. On my world everyone has value and everyone is looking to see how they can increase everyone else's value as the natural adult response to abundance. I know I am not the only Captain Obvious, some are Generally Obvious and some are obvious in Private form.
