A Statement In Solidarity: The Red Carpet Revolution
At the Grammy Awards this past Sunday, the color white took a leading role on the red carpet. Musicians, singers, et al, either carried a white rose, pinned one on their lapel, or donned their white attire making a statement in solidarity in honor of the Time’s Up movement.
Being a fashion designer and a wardrobe stylist, it thrills me to no end that the world is realizing that our clothing has the power to send a bold message and that they are using this power to do just that.
According to Time’s Up, white “stands for hope, peace, sympathy, and resistance.” I think all of us can agree that we would like more of that.
Of course, we all have our own preferences, so what outfit would you wear in support of the Time’s Up movement?
