The State of Real Estate during COVID19

Lots of questions on the state of the real estate market - here’s what’s going on under this Executive Order. Other than showing/walking through a home for sale, every other part of the process is still allowed & happening

- Us Real estate agents are not allowed to physically show homes to you guys, nor are prospective buyers allowed to leave their home to walk through a home for sale 

- THERE IS SOME GOOD NEWS! Other than showings, home inspections are still happening (although the buyer is not allowed to attend), appraisals are still happening and title companies are still closing

- I’ve closed a few properties under this Executive Order, but I was not allowed to attend home inspections or closings for my clients

- If you have a dire need to move, virtual showings are happening where you can FaceTime with the seller and they will walk you through the home

- If you ask us to show homes during this Order, you are asking us to break the law, you will be breaking the law, & since the sellers of the home would have to leave the property, you are also asking them to break the law, all while putting everyone at risk

As soon as the order is lifted, be ready to look at homes & make offers because the market will be back like it never left. If you’re thinking of selling your home, I would advise waiting until the Executive Order is lifted before listing your home.
