A State of Optimal Coherence
A few days ago, I posted a video on "Sound: Secret Power, Hidden Force" - demonstrating the power of sound to heal and create coherence in the body.
A reminder of Nikola Tesla's famous quote:
"If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration."
A few years ago I was honoured to interview Mark Hinds on my podcast, the CEO and Founder of Resonant Technologies Group. He is working closely with Nassim Haremein. He asked me what I consider the ultimate cause of illness. I cockily replied, "Low voltage in an organ." He went, "No, it's dissonance. Dissonance from The Field."
For this newsletter, I wanted to tie sound healing in with meditation and an experience at a Dr Joe Dispenza retreat, where we spent many hours a day meditating, amidst talks, upgrading our biology in the process. In case you are not familiar, Dr Joe Dispenza is bridging science and spirituality in a profound way, with not only the way he teaches, but experiential and with data to show what happens in our bodies over extended periods of time in meditation. For example, his team has found new biomarkers, around 2,400 data sets of new information in the blood that wasn't there beforehand. Confirmed by scientists, although they are baffled as to where it comes from!
The Heart Math Institute has been studying the heart-brain connection since the early 90s, and they are showing the effects of a coherent heart and brain, on important biomarkers such as HRV and its effect elsewhere.
I featured Heart Coherence on the 17 Feb Newsletter, and this chart:
The graphs above show real-time examples of HRV patterns (heart rhythms) recorded from individuals who were experiencing different emotions. When we shift into a state of coherence, that can be obtained by slowing down the breathing, with conscious inhalation and exhalation, bringing attention to the heart, and tuning into or experiencing high-frequency emotions of love, such as appreciation, gratitude, care, or compassion. These 4 emotions have been proven, scientifically at HeartMath to work most effectively.
Incoherent patterns associated with stressful emotions can cause our body to operate inefficiently, deplete our energy, and produce extra wear and tear on our whole system. This is especially true if stress and negative emotions are experienced for extended periods, which leads to living by the hormones of stress. This in turn weakens the gut and the immune system.
“In contrast, positive emotions send a very different signal throughout our body. When we experience uplifting emotions such as appreciation, joy, care, and love, our heart rhythm pattern becomes highly ordered, looking like a smooth, harmonious wave (an example is shown in the second figure below). This is called a coherent heart rhythm pattern. This indicates that the two branches of the autonomic nervous system (ANS) are synchronized and the body’s systems operate with increased efficiency and harmony.”
When we feel good and experience positive emotions, we are actually helping our body’s systems to synchronize and function more optimally. It’s no wonder positive emotions feel so good!
A State of Optimal Function: Coherence
Sustained positive emotions lead to a change in your biology, a state that is scientifically measurable. There is increased order and harmony (coherence) in both our psychological (mental and emotional) and physiological (bodily) functions.
When two branches of the autonomic nervous system (ANS) are in sync with one another, there is more autonomic balance toward increased parasympathetic activity (relaxation, repair, healing). There is also increased “physiological entrainment”— simply, various bodily systems become in sync with the rhythm of the heart. This also increases synchronization between the activity of the heart and brain.
Where does sound come into this?
I recently attended two Dr joe Dispenza retreats, where 1800 of us were meditating in a room together, led by Dr Joe, for many hours a day, amidst teachings connecting neuroscience with quantum physics, ageless wisdom, epigenetics, neuroendocrinology and lots of other long words. You saw my feature Dr Bruce Lipon in the last few weeks who is also a phenomenal teacher in this field, whom I refer to as "The Father of Epigenetics."
I have written a number of posts on my blog further to attending Dr Joe's Advanced Retreats. At these events, attendees have reversed some of the most "incurable" illnesses often in days, or even spontaneously with meditation, visualisation, heart and brain coherence, ultimately by tapping into the quantum realm, and by remembering we are energy before we are physical.

This is the part of holistic health that I find the most fascinating. I'm slowly discovering my/our superhuman gifts!
In short: Why did 1800 people from 65 countries travel to experience Dr Joe Dispenza?
Is Dr Joe the head of some weird cult?
Have you ever had an inner “knowing” that you are more powerful than you might believe at at an intellectual level?
The journeys Dr Joe would guide us on in deep meditations involved the most incredible music - sound was key to the experience. And I cannot continue without referring to one of the composers of many of his meditations, Barry Goldstein, who I am proud also to call a friend. He is the author of "The Secret Language of The Heart."
Sound enables us to change brain wave patterns and enter altered states of consciousness. The meticulous nature of Barry's work is clear when you embark upon a journey through his spotify playlists!
With sound, within meditation (or otherwise), we can change our state, and drift into a wonderful place of healing. The sounds of Nature are healing. The sound of a cat purring is healing. Sound healing and musical instruments are being used in forward-thinking nursing/care homes to help the elderly remember and associate with joyful times of the past. It helps rebuild the brain and neural pathways. It's quite astounding.
Imagine combining it all! Sound, meditation, maybe thrown in a little breathwork, heart and brain coherence, visualisation - that's quite a potent punch of healing magic, and it's available to use for either free or with very little investment.
One doesn't have to attend a retreat to get these results, we can obtain remarkable health results in our own homes, by dropping into meditation. The science behind its benefits are undeniable and now science-backed.
Are you meditating? Are you engaging in sound healing for improving your health and well-being?
Last I launched a brand new community, where will will be exploring the "Four Pillars of Vitality week by week, in a community-style environment. Within the "Energy" pillar we will embark upon meditation and "Going Quantum" as per The Vitality Code. Check it out here:
