STATE OF EMERGENCY
We are certainly living in uncertain times due to COVID-19. Premier Doug Ford announced this morning that Ontario is in a State of Emergency. This declaration has a huge effect on so many people throughout the province. It will have an effect on the most vulnerable in our city.
Regeneration is doing its best to react to this very fluid situation. Effective immediately we will start to serve our meals at the door in takeout containers. Our other programs have all been suspended until further notice.
Our Thrift Store will be closed effective today until March 31st to both shoppers and the receiving of donations for the Thrift Store.
A local food bank has been closed for at least the next three weeks. Regeneration will be operating an emergency food bank at the donation centre of the Thrift Store on Wednesdays from 12 to 2 pm to help in this regard. Please inform those in your congregation who may be in need of this service.
We would appreciate your prayers for the safety of our staff and volunteers who are on the front line serving people every day.
We have approached different levels of government for additional financial assistance to help us in the very difficult time. A number of sources of our revenue have been affected by COVID-19. We would also ask your congregation for additional financial help. Every $5 donation helps to serve a meal at our door or provides a meal through our emergency food bank.
Thank you for your prayers and support during this very difficult time.
God Bless
