Exceldent was incorporated in September 2020 and officially opened its doors in June 2021, marking the beginning of our journey to provide comprehensive dental care with a commitment to patient-centered care. The inception of Exceldent was driven by the desire, as a husband-and-wife team who immigrated from Mexico in 2010, to create a dental practice that embodied more than just professional care. They faced several challenges, including navigating a new country's business environment, understanding complex regulations, and caring for their 2 young children without a nearby family. These obstacles were compounded by their lack of formal business training. They overcame these challenges through relentless perseverance, self-education, and seeking out supportive resources like those offered by the SBA. Women’s Business Center provided a roadmap for developing a comprehensive business plan. The SBA’s resource partners also offered invaluable resources, including webinars and workshops on HR, marketing, and tax planning, which equipped them with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the early stages of business setup and growth. The support from the SBA was instrumental in turning their vision into reality. It helped the company by ensuring they were well-equipped with knowledge and resources to build a solid foundation for Exceldent, from securing funding and navigating legal and healthcare requirements to implementing effective marketing strategies. This guidance not only helped them open the doors but also set them up on a path of sustainable growth and community impact.
