  • DouxMatok, a?food tech startup specializing in sugar reduction, raised a $30M Series C. Their patented technology restructures sucrose molecules around inert silica particles so it tastes sweeter while delivering a 30%-50% reduction of sugar in food with no compromise to the taste or mouthfeel.
  • Bby, a?startup wth patented tech that technology that turns donor breast milk into shelf-stabilized, powdered breast milk, raised a $3M Seed round. The current?process of storing, thawing and reheating it is lengthy and costs hospitals millions of dollars a month. Now?curses can quickly mix the powder with water, using only the amount of milk needed and reducing waste.
  • Checkmate, a startup with an?automated savings platform for modern online shopping, raised a $15M Series A led by Google Ventures.?Checkmate finds the best deals from a email and across the web and applies them at checkout. It also track all package shipments in a dashboard and store gift cards in a digital wallet.?
  • eFishery, an?aquaculture and agri-tech startup, raised a $108 Series D and hot Unicorn status. They entered the market with an IoT device which enables automated feeding in fish and shrimp farms. They now provide an end-to-end e-commerce platform as well as a distribution system and an online marketplace that allows fishers to sell their yield directly to distributors and agents.
  • Figure, a one year old?startup focused on manufacturing general-purpose humanoid robots, raised a $70M Series A.?It follows founder and CEO Brett Adcock’s self-financed $100M Seed to get things up and running. He also invested $20M in this round. The humanoid will stand 5'6, weigh 60 KG and be able to carry up to 20 KG. They are built for general tasks, with the eventual goal that they will learn and interact with the environment.
