Failure all but guaranteed

As you can see above in the screenshot of this founder's tweet - 2 months of building, no marketing.

They've all but guaranteed a failed launch.

Don't make the same mistake.

Your number 1 priority needs to be making money, not building your product

And to do that, you need to be marketing.

But, how do you make money from a product if it isn't any good?

The truth is, with the right marketing strategy, you don't need a great product to generate revenue.

As long as others are making money selling a similar product, then you can build a successful business with a good, ok or even terrible product.

Take HubSpot for example

It grew to $29 million in ARR with a product that the CEO/CTO himself admits was terrible.

Yet their customers loved the company and, bizarrely, the product.

But why was HubSpot able to do this?

Because it didn't sell its internet marketing solution. Instead it sold a brand-new belief system instead - what I call a BLUNT belief.

In HubSpot's case they built this BLUNT belief off of what made their internet marketing solution unique.

However, you can also create one without a product at all (and then create a product to fit that belief) - bootstrapped side project Bullet Journal did just that and today it does $8 million in annual revenue.

Want to understand more about what BLUNT beliefs are and read case studies of those who have used them?

Check out this free resource - www.thebluntmethod.com.

There you'll get access to three things.

  1. A complete explanation of what BLUNT beliefs are and how and why they are so damn effective at growing startups.
  2. Free case studies of companies that have used this strategy to grow when they were startups of all shapes and sizes (funded, bootstrapped, software, physical products, etc.)
  3. Details of The BLUNT Method Guide - a complete guide to exactly how you can create a BLUNT belief for your startup regardless of your product type or even whether you have a product at all.
