WHAT SUBJECT I’M CURIOUS ABOUT

Dear Reader - the month of June is nearing an end which means we are nearing the halfway mark for our?Career Transition focus.?The good news is that there is still plenty more to come during July on this topic so stay tuned.

Hopefully, if you have been following us each week, you'll know that our focus is on aiding?those Executive Talent (Team ET) looking to move from one level to the next in their career.

And as mentioned above the first month of June is all but gone. However, this also means we are deep into the review of this transformational talent coaching program called "Executive Talent Launch - 6 Steps to Becoming Elite."?

In fact, it means that this week we'll be closing out the?3 internal strengths?which we cover during months 1, 2, and 3. The strengths that we address are.

  • Swapping bad habits for good
  • Optimizing daily routines
  • Career-centric continuous learning (today's focus)

In July therefore we'll be addressing the remaining - that is?3 external strengths?introduced during months 4, 5, and 6.

As mentioned above today our attention turns toward the third and final internal?strength of career-centric continuous learning.?The world is changing at such a rapid pace and your learning habits need to become focused and purposeful - at least until you reach a specific tipping point in your knowledge level.

  1. Learning to Lead, Leading to Learn by Isao Yoshina - is a great book. Wayne's rating is 4.5
  2. Helping People Change by Richard Boyatzis, Melvin Smith, and Ellen Van Oosten - is an excellent book. Wayne's rating is 5.0

What insights I’m sharing

Straightforward as it may seem, we still see FEEDBACK as one of the worst-utilized resources available to leaders and teams. Think about how you receive almost constant feedback with online games. It's time we started to get more creative and smarter with our approach. It doesn't have to be dreaded, it can even become fun.
