Ascom America's 2025 Regional Kickoff - Thrive in 25

Starting the year with momentum

Every January, we hold a kickoff meeting as a region to start the year in a strategic way. Our leaders, including our CEO Nicolas Van Den Abeele , managing director Tobias Stanelle and others across the business Michael Augusti , Chris La Fratta , Robert Wittwer , Donny Ward update all of our employees so we're clear and aligned on our objectives. It's also a good opportunity to share stories and learnings about successful technology implementations at hospitals across North America. We also heard from a phenomenal guest speaker Mike Mosquito, CHCIO, MBA, PMP, CDH-E about how hospital CIOs think about technology transformation projects. As we grow to a software driven company, we're excited to help power new care models, like virtual nursing and clinical surveillance.

In just a few short weeks, we'll be exhibiting at HIMSS 2025.

We'll be showing Ascom Healthcare Platform solutions across four categories: clinical monitoring and alarm management, clinical surveillance, patient and staff safety, and smart nurse call systems. Across these categories, we have ten workflows to show how our software-based solutions are improving workflows that produce measurable results.

The workflows are:

  • virtual nursing
  • task management
  • alarm management
  • alarm management (mobile)
  • alarm collaboration (mobile)
  • alarm dispatch
  • vendor agnostic central station
  • ED overflow and ED waiting
  • CDSS/predictive care
  • staff safety

If you're going to HIMSS, come visit our booth #2617 or book a meeting. We'd love to meet with you.

Earlier this month, the The Healthcare Technology Report recognized Ascom's CEO, Nicolas Vanden Abeele in its top 50 healthcare technology CEOs of 2024. He joins the ranks of leaders from top companies, including Enovis, Natera, Omnicell, LifeLabs, Phathom Pharmaceuticals and other leading businesses. These companies have demonstrated advancements that are making in impact in medical devices, digital health, software, biotechnology and beyond. HTR selected Ascom and Abeele for this distinction because of the business' continued transformation from a hardware-based medical device company to a software-driven communications and collaboration company.?

Stay tuned for next month's newsletter where we'll be sharing all about our smart alarming and alerting capabilities.
