Starting a podcast? Or have a new show?

Starting a podcast? Or new to it, read this:
If you're thinking about starting a show, but haven't because...
You're waiting for the perfect idea and want that earth shattering idea that will help you 'bust through' the noise and come out gunz blazing
Let me suggest something different
Instead of wanting to be really unique, be specific.
Be targeted and know exactly who you want to reach with your show.
Not size, specificity wins.
Most people are thinking they want a BIG SHOW and they need MORE downloads
But the truth is, for most people in any industry it’s not the size of their market that is a problem
It’s their ability to get attention from the right people, then take those people and turn them into consistent listeners
And for business owners, the nugget is: taking listeners and turning them into customers
And I believe podcasting a goldmine for entrepreneurs, consultants, and businesses that know how to do turn listeners to customers
Podcasting works for business, otherwise the leaders and giants in multiple industries wouldn’t be doing it
Podcasting works - that’s why Neil Patel, Tony Robbins, Marc Maron, eBay, Netflix, General Motors, Russell Brunson (has 3 shows), Grant Cardone (has two shows and his wife has one)
All these companies, legends, influencers, and leaders have podcasts
And if you listen to them, most of them are not unique, or somehow extremely special
What they are this:
Specific for their audience they want to appeal to.
Tony Robbins and Neil Patel - they teach their expertise and talk about it.
There are hundreds of shows like theirs.
Most sound the same.
Neil Patel, Tony Robbins, Grant Cardone - their shows aren’t unique, revolutionary or groundbreaking
Instead of revolutionary, what they have is:
Specificity.
They know exactly who their content is for and that it will appeal to their ideal client
Nothing complex.
And it’s likely, if you’ve thought about starting a show, you’ve made it too complex
Because you think you need to have something ground breaking
Which isn’t true - you just need to have a specific person in mind that will be listening
And make content for them on your podcast so they’ll listen, be attracted to your message
That’s what I did and it’s what people like John Lee Dumas, Pat Flynn, and the other guys did.
Specific. Be specific on who you want to attract.
