Where I failed, where I succeeded, and everything in between. As a Software Engineering intern at Cisco, I’ll dive into my experiences working at a company in the heart of Silicon Valley, attending fun AI/tech conferences, and meeting truly inspiring people. This is going to be a wild ride!

?? The Big Questions:

Is the Bay Area worth the hype? How do you crack an internship and effectively sell yourself in this competitive industry? And what does it even truly mean to be a software engineer? These (along with many more) are just some of the questions that keep me up at night, and I can't wait to explore and find the answers to these with you.

?? The Juggle Back at UCSB:

Once I return to school, I’ll share the challenges of balancing life at UCSB—whether it’s tackling Upper Division CS classes, leading the ACM chapter as Co-President, diving into cutting-edge research with professors, or navigating the many struggles that come with all of this.

What’s Next?

To kick things off, I’m excited to dive into my journey as an intern at Cisco. From tackling complex projects that push me out of my comfort zone to the thrill of collaborating with some super bright people, it’s been nothing short of an adventure. I’ll share insights into the challenges and rewards of my current project and how I’ve been soaking up knowledge by connecting and networking with talented professionals across the company. After all, isn’t that what internships are really about—learning, growing, and building those invaluable connections?

But that’s not all…

In upcoming posts, I’ll also share some of the exciting personal projects I’ve been working on and my evolving (and very beginner, haha) thoughts on AI, along with the super cool tools that have made life so much easier. From attending tech conferences to meeting industry leaders, these last few months have reshaped my understanding of the tech world, and I’m eager to dive deeper into these topics with you.
