Liverpool is a city steeped in heritage and renowned for its impact on the musical world, so it is incredibly exciting that it has played host to one of the biggest global music events, Eurovision, this weekend.
Not only that,?EuroFest ?is a cultural festival taking place alongside the song contest, and features the community and education programmes. Not only do the programmes celebrate the dazzling history of Eurovision and the rich heritage of Liverpool, but also the significant cultures and traditions of Ukraine, who won Eurovision 2022.?
EuroFest will engage with Liverpool’s wider communities with a focus on food and crafts, celebrating cultures of all Eurovision nationalities. It will also celebrate chess – a huge pastime in Ukraine.

CMI urges businesses to limit alcohol at work events
Companies are being urged by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) to limit the amount of alcohol served at work social events. A poll by the organisation found that almost a third of managers have witnessed harassment or inappropriate behaviour at parties. Women were more likely to have seen such behaviour, with 33% saying they have witnessed it, compared to 26% of men. More than two-fifths of those polled said work socials should be organised around activities that don’t involve alcohol.
CMI chief executive Ann Francke said that socialising with colleagues is a “great team building opportunity”. However, she added that managers need to keep inappropriate behaviour in check.

The BBC’s national sponsors include easyJet and Google. According to the European Broadcasting Union, the contest’s huge global reach and values of "inclusiveness, diversity and universality" are what make it so popular with brands. Whilst at a local level,?Liverpool One shopping centre ?is prepared for a 25% increase in visitors this weekend.
