ChatGPT your new psychologist?

Whether you like it or not, other people will form opinions of you. And you cannot control those opinions. When you’re on stage, in the office, on LinkedIn or minding your own business in a grocery store, people will judge. Changing how you behave in the hope that people will see you favourably is a waste of your energy. Be conscientious and helpful, of course, but don’t forget who you are because you’re trying to impress someone who may be indifferent. There is another way.?

If people-pleasing,?overthinking?or being too self conscious are things you struggle with, try these ChatGPT prompts out for size.

ChatGPT will see you now... ?

Bletchley Summit yields global AI safety

The AI safety summit at Bletchley Park this past week, led by UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, has been considered a significant diplomatic success. Here's a synthesis of key points from the summit, incorporating the latest details:

  1. Diplomatic success: Sunak convened an impressive roster of global leaders, including US Vice President Kamala Harris and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, symbolising a considerable diplomatic achievement. The summit resulted in an international declaration to address AI risks, indicating a strong political and commercial commitment to AI safety, with France set to host the next summit in 2024.
  2. US leadership in AI: The United States showcased its influence in shaping the AI agenda. President Biden's executive order on AI system testing and Vice President Harris's announcement of a new AI safety institute underscored US authority in the domain, both politically and commercially, as many leading AI firms are US.-based.
  3. Elon Musk's influence: Elon Musk's attendance added celebrity appeal to the summit. While his AI company xAI may not be as large as others, his warnings about AI's risks drew significant media attention and amplified the summit's message.
  4. Divergence on existential risk: The summit revealed a divide on the perception of AI as an existential threat. While there was no resolution to this debate, there was a clear consensus on the more immediate risks of AI, particularly regarding the potential for disinformation to disrupt upcoming elections in the US, India and the UK.
  5. Regulatory approaches and speeds: Discussions highlighted the varied speeds at which countries are moving on AI regulation. The EU is advancing towards its AI Act, while the UK is more hesitant, questioning the feasibility of regulation due to the rapid advancement of the AI industry. Despite these differences, there was agreement on the importance of international cooperation and summits to help establish a framework for addressing AI challenges.
  6. Need for a scientific consensus: Just as the International Panel on Climate Change does for climate issues, there's a recognised need for an authoritative body to establish a scientific consensus on the capabilities and risks of AI models, which will aid in harmonising international efforts in AI governance.

The AI safety summit at Bletchley Park served as a significant step in international diplomacy for AI, bringing together key political figures, tech leaders and experts to discuss and agree on strategies to address the immediate and long-term challenges posed by the rapid development of AI technology.
