Welcome to my LinkedIn newsletter! My name is Ishaq Amin and I have helped numerous individuals with diverse backgrounds break into the tech industry. After making a career change myself at the age of 30, I graduated from a Bootcamp and have since established a stable and rewarding career in tech. Throughout my journey, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in the industry, and my goal is to share that with others.
In this first of many articles, I will be briefly discussing three key things you need to have when applying for your first junior developer job:

2. A well-crafted CV: It may seem obvious, but it's important to make sure your CV is free of errors and presents all the necessary information clearly and concisely. Avoid using broken links, fancy designs, and unnecessary information. Instead, focus on presenting your most recent and relevant experience, as well as any software experience you have. Make sure to include shortened links to your social media profiles, like LinkedIn, for easy access.
3. Strong communication skills: Being able to effectively communicate with your team and clients is a crucial skill in the tech industry. Make sure to showcase your strong verbal and written communication skills in your job application and during the interview process. This includes being able to clearly articulate your ideas and technical knowledge, as well as being able to listen and understand others' perspectives.
By focusing on these three key areas, you can set yourself up for success when applying for your first junior developer role.
