Start Using your Time Wisely in 2016
It is hard to measure the impact of the lost time, but as you get older it is true that you might regret either of the things that made you lose time or the productive and meaningful things you didn't do.
We know exactly which things distract us and divert us from our goals, but we simple ignore them and consider them as normal things that can happen to anyone.
Unfortunately I lost many hours last year and probably some of you too. But we don't want that to happen again, right?
So these might be some of the things we'd like to focus on:
1- Get rid of distractions
You know yourself better than anyone. If you know that surfing Facebook, Instagram, or any other social network will make you waste hours just delimitate the time you use them or simply disable them (you won't die, trust me)
2- Replace garbage with meaningful information
Sadly, web is getting full of garbage more and more. As more people is allowed to create content you can find content of any kind uploaded anywhere at any time.
Whichever your areas of interest are look for websites, blogs or videos, list them and have them ready to check when you feel tempted to see meaningless information. Additional tip: Share what you have found with others instead of forwarding random funny videos or links
3- Take 30 minutes to learn something new
Build the habit of taking at least 30 minutes from your day to learn something new: read an educational article, watch an instructional video, listen an interesting audio. No matter how much you learn from that you will find you learned something you didn't know one day ago
4- Get in touch with someone
Take one minute to send a message or call a person or relative with whom you haven't been in contact for long time. This will make you feel really good as well as the other person
5- Take time to meditate
Whatever your religion or spiritual beliefs are, utilise some of your time to pray/meditate/relax. Find the right time and place to do it, this should be an important action which you don't have to miss
6- Time to plan your day
Take a few seconds of your morning to see your agenda, to think about the people you will meet with, to imagine the work place, but mostly to reinforce the attitude you will have for the rest of the day
Feel free to comment if you have feedback or have more ideas to include.
Thanks,
