Start by looking inward

Unlocking your true purpose is not easy. It requires heightened self-awareness, inward reflection on your experiences and your unique gifts, an awareness of what the world needs now, and a deep understanding of your passions, values, and interests. This process requires introspection, reflection, contemplation, and self-acceptance.

Start with why when identifying your purpose, whether for an organization or as an individual.

The “why” is your reason for being and can inspire action. When the “why” is clear, the “how” becomes easier.

Starting with why requires you to ask the following questions:

● Why am I doing what I am doing?

● What would happen if I did not do what I am doing?

● How does what I am doing help my purpose or create meaning, impact, and significance?
