Start From Where You Are
I have had the tendency to want to fix a bunch and stuff in my life before I started on the path I want to be on.
It looked like this: I need to lose weight, clean my house, finish this project, pay off my car...before I can go for what I want. I often felt as if I were behind, late, or defective in some way.
I wanted to "measure up" so I could feel worthy of what I wanted. It was a circular, self-defeating, demotivating way to live. And I did it for years.
No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.
ALBERT EINSTEIN
And then I realized - and I mean REALLY realized - that the only place I can start from is from right here, right now...just as I am. Being present is an elevation of consciousness, and it opens up a world of possibilities.
Elevating our consciousness is as easy as getting curious. Curiosity is pure, like a child's mind, and new worlds open up to us.
