Start fresh

Start fresh

???Announcement: I have something big launching next week - if you find this weekly newsletter at all relevant for you, stay tuned ??!

When I see someone fall short of the goals they set out with their relationships, it’s almost always because at some point they stumbled with consistent behavior, and felt they couldn’t get back to it.

As a New Year unfolds before us, it offers a pristine canvas for new beginnings and fresh starts. It's a time to shake off the dust of past shortcomings and step forward without the weight of old regrets.

The Burden of Unmet Expectations

We've all been there—setting high expectations for ourselves and then feeling a sense of shame when we fall short. This shame can be paralyzing, leading to further inaction. But the New Year brings a chance to shed this burden and approach our goals with renewed energy.

One Step at a Time

Start fresh by taking small, manageable steps. Update one contact in your CRM or spreadsheet, even if it's been months since you last touched it. This simple act can reignite your momentum and remind you that progress is always within reach.

Reaching Out

Take a moment to reach out to a past client or colleague, even if it's been years since you last spoke. A simple "Happy New Year! I was just thinking of you and wanted to check in" can rekindle a connection and open doors to new opportunities. Remember, people are often more receptive and understanding than we give them credit for. They, too, understand the value of fresh starts and are likely waiting to hear from you.

As you move forward, adopt the mindset of leaving every relationship better than when you found it - even if you haven’t in a while. Whether it's offering a word of encouragement, sharing a helpful resource, or simply listening, small acts of kindness and attention can have a profound impact.

So, as we step into this New Year, let's do so with the intention of renewal and growth. Let's be gentle with ourselves and understand that every day, not just Jan 1, is an opportunity to start anew.

To a year of fresh starts and renewed connections,

-Zvi

Wonderful suggestions here to get the ball rolling, Zvi Band! I think too often we shoot for the stars with our new year's aspirations, and the way to get big results is really from cultivating small habits.
