The Start of Discipline…

I have a hypothesis. I believe the first step toward accumulating disciplines is to exercise. The act of the mind telling the body to do something uncomfortable for it’s own benefit. I think exercise is the starting block to consistently be a disciplined human.

First of all, what is the point in getting good at any discipline if your unfit body or mind is not there to complete it? Secondly, I think you will never get great at any discipline until you have conquered your health as your health allows one to see clearly, feel strong, and be able to complete actions to utmost ability.

Thirdly, exercise releases endorphins that help stimulate you to take actions that would otherwise not be taken due to energy or ability.

While the health of the body is not required for success. It is the best suggested starting place if one wants to make change. It’s performance is required to succeed at anything else in life.?

The body is essential to do great things. Try doing anything worthwhile with a sick, feeble body and then you will understand.
