Start the day with good thoughts

Start the day with good thoughts

Here are 5 simple habits I have for my morning routine. The point is to make sure you feel, act, and think of your best potential for the rest of your day-and the next few days. Snooze your smartphone is the first thing you wake up to check your smartphone's messages and business emails is to penalize yourself. You instantly develop a reactive mindset rather than a positive mindset. As a result, you start your day in a defensive state rather than a place of inner calm and control. Instead, leave the first hour of the day away from technology so that you can start the day with awareness and positive focus on the current moment.

Drink warm water, fresh start. Drinking a glass of water without a sip is the best way to hydrate your body. Ayurvedic technique of adding lemon to a warm glass of water removes toxins from the digestive tract that may have accumulated overnight, provides an excellent source of vitamin C, refreshes your breath and loses weight. Helps and stimulates metabolism and growth. Start your day with healthy, refreshing flooring first thing in the morning.

What are you grateful for? Wait a few minutes and practice your gratitude with a smile before you wake up. When you smile, it signals your brain to release soothing neurotransmitters (dopamine, endorphins, serotonin) that lift your mood, relax your body, and lower your heart rate. Does anyone want to start the day with this positive note? When you smile, think about what you are grateful for. Studies have shown that gratitude, among other things, reduces stress hormones and improves mood. Therefore, adding a simple daily appreciation exercise is a great way to start the morning. First, spend a minute in bed before getting up and think about life opportunities with those who are grateful.

Bedmaking yourself after waking up. Making a bed is a simple action you can take in the morning, so feel free to do the day. You can start. Success-and which do you think is better than pride and sense of accomplishment? Responsible and completing simple tasks provides the foundation for taking on more and more as the days go by.

Meditation for 30 mins. You can train your mind and emotions by incorporating some kind of mindfulness exercise like meditation into your daily morning routine. This affects how you respond to challenges throughout the day. The reason behind is that in the early morning, your focus is so good that even if you don’t understand something and cannot do something. You can do it easily and with less efforts in the morning. And, morning hours decide your whole day. Suppose, you are happy while you wake up. So, there are more chances that your whole day will be gone good. But if you get up with tension and anxiety then, there are higher chances to get upset whole day.

Therefore, it is necessary to begin your day with positive things such as meditation, walking, journaling and planning your day while doing the activities in the morning. Each person should decide on the best way to start the day. Some people like exercise, some meditation or prayer, and some don’t have time for anything other than a shower and breakfast before they go to work or start working in the home. Parents of babies and young children may not have time for anything before they must start caring for their child or children.

Sunlight. As soon as you get up, expose yourself to direct sunlight for at least 5 minutes. The more direct contact with your skin, the better. This will stimulate the natural production of vitamin D and shut down melatonin production, which causes your body to release hormones and wake-promoting neurotransmitters like dopamine, norepinephrine, and histamine, which are linked to an improved mood and can help make you feel good. Movement. Our bodies are made to move. You can easily combine getting direct sunlight exposure with a brief walk or quick run in the morning. 5 to 15 minutes is more than enough to get the most bang for your buck. By getting your body moving first thing in the morning, you prime yourself to get ready for the day.

Silence (no, not even music). During the first 30 minutes of your day, try this: no phone, no books, no music. See how you feel afterwards. We’re currently living in the age of information overload. We constantly get bombarded with all sorts of external input and ideas. We no longer take the time or space to think for ourselves, to get clear on what we want out of life. Having a few moments of silence each day in the morning allows us to gather our thoughts, and start the day with clarity and intent. Meditation. Adding a few minutes of mindfulness meditation to my mornings each day drastically improved my ability to focus and significantly reduced my levels of anxiety. Getting deeply present with yourself and tuning in will allow you to bring more focused attention to your day and help you feel grounded and calm.

Gratitude. Giving thanks and counting our blessings first thing in the morning is one of the best ways to tap into a state of abundance and appreciation for what we have. Instead of focusing on what we lack, we can show gratitude for all that is good in our lives. Journaling. Taking a few moments each morning to write down your thoughts can bring tremendous clarity and insight which you will carry with you for the rest of the day. It’s also a great opportunity for you to think of what you’d like to achieve that day.

Intention setting. Getting clear on what your main intention is for the day will allow you to purposefully take action towards what’s most important to you and your life. Work. Get your most important and challenging task for the day done first thing in the morning. Famous author Brian Tracy calls it ‘Eat That Frog’. That way you will have less time to talk your self out of it. Do the hardest thing of the day as soon as you can and you will find yourself being way more productive. Pro tip: Leave your blinds open the night before you go to bed, that way you will naturally wake up with the sun. Cheers!
