Start creating GPTs today with these 10 simple steps!

Creating GPTs and Digital Personas with ChatGPT Plus is extremely intuitive and straightforward! These can be created for just about anything you can dream up. I have created digital friends, therapists, business process helpers, health assistants, digital comedians, story tellers, and even a hobby farm veterinarian!

The steps to start are quite simple!

Step 1: Subscribe to ChatGPT Plus. This is currently a requirement to be able to use ChatGPT-4 and GPTs.

Step 2: In ChatGPT, select your profile and click on MyGPTs. You will get a screen where you can start the creation process. Click Create a GPT.

Step 3: Click Create a GPT.

Step 4: Simply answer the questions that the GPT Builder asks you! Be as detailed as you want. If you are unsure, feel free to ask the builder to use its knowledge to help guide you through the creation process.

Step 5: Settle on a name and avatar image for your new GPT. The builder will provide suggestions for both. If you don't like them, ask for new ones.

Step 6: Refine the context for the GPT. The builder will guide you through each step until it has enough information.

Step 7: Explain the communication style, detail required, and any other formatting that you'd prefer the output to follow. For example: I want professional, detail oriented job descriptions that use text formatting where needed.

Step 8: Test and refine! Ask it to start a task and see how it responds and reacts. At this point you can easily jump back to the builder and update those behaviors and preferences.

Step 9: Click on the Configure tab. Make sure that your GPT has a name, description, and some starting questions or prompts to guide the user.

Step 10: PUBLISH YOUR GPT! Select the options that you'd like and hit confirm.

You have now created your first GPT! Congratulations!
