Start 2024 with a powerful word.

Start 2024 with a powerful word.

?? Happy New Year!! Instead of an NYE resolution, I encourage you to sum up your hopes and dreams for 2024 into one meaningful word.

My word for 2024 is: Alignment

Goal:

I aim to ensure that my actions, decisions, and intentions are in harmony with my values, goals, and purpose. Beginning with a personalized alignment strategy, I'll prioritize flexibility while staying true to my values. I'll dedicate time to self-reflection, mindfulness, and mental well-being. Acknowledging accomplishments will drive me to pursue greater alignment, and I'll frequently revisit and adapt my path to ensure consistency with my chosen word of the year.

Would you like to join me in practicing a word of the year?

The ideal word of the year is the one that will assist YOU in staying grounded when feeling overwhelmed. Here are 3 steps to help you select your word of the year:

  1. Reflect and Define Intentions: Consider your goals, both personal and professional, and the changes you wish to see in your life for 2024.
  2. Brainstorm and Choose a Word: Brainstorm a list of words that align with your reflections. Look for a single word that resonates most strongly with you and represents the direction you want to take in 2024.
  3. Embrace and Apply the Word: Once you've selected your word, fully embrace it as a guiding principle for the year. Incorporate it into your daily life, decisions, and goals. Use it as a reminder and motivation to stay aligned with your intentions and goals.
  4. BONUS: To get more in-depth inspiration from your word of the year, visit chapGPT.com and enter this prompt with YOUR chosen word: "How can I use (enter your word here) as my word of the year?"

?? Share your word with me/us in the comments to keep the momentum going!

?? Challenge: Instead of using an emoji to like the post, add a comment to build a relationship and network!

Remember, choosing your word of the year is about intentional and continuous improvement. It's okay if progress isn’t linear or if you encounter challenges along the way. The key is to stay committed to your goals and the concept of your chosen word as a guiding principle.

My word of the year would be 'Networking.' I seek to expand my professional networking this year as I have moved to a new country for my future aspirations. I aim to build a strong relationships with like minded individuals to explore opportunities for my career growth and how can I contribute to their journey in return.

I’m usually pretty cynical when it comes to positive thinking and whatyoucallit. Even when I think I’m smiling I look like a grumpy git. But reading through all the comments here and having chatted with the Mrs about the year ahead, I think my word for 2024 would be ‘EMBRACE’. As a stay home dad to our amazing Ella I’m gonna try much harder to embrace every moment I get to spend with her. With Ella’s condition some days are tough but 99% of the time it’s another awesome day. I don’t enough step back and think how lucky I am to be in this position I guess. Some days I miss the carry on on a project, or just the work environment. At the end of the day my Mrs is keeping us fed and taking care of all the big picture stuff and I get to deal with pretty much the greatest kid on the planet every day. So yeah Embrace.

Clarity. This is my word. Getting clear on my goals. 2023 has taught me stuff that has led to it.
