Start With 1 Step.

Yesterday I walked 13,052 steps, which is about 7.1 miles.?

Each day I shoot for a minimum of 6,000 steps not necessarily for exercise (that’s a nice byproduct though) but to enhance my creativity and to keep my mind clear during the day.?

The crazy thing about all those steps yesterday was that it didn’t feel forced.?

I just paced myself and walked throughout the day and even took advantage of the smaller time windows.?

No doubt my neighbors think I’m weird, but I don’t really care.?

Why am I telling you this??

Because it feels great to start something, but it feels even better to be consistent at something.?

Consistency builds confidence like crazy.?

This principle of doing just bite sized actions over the course of a period of time really has changed my life for the better.?

Heck, I even wrote a bestselling book on Amazon about it called The Switchback Approach.?

Do you know what a switchback is on a trail??

It’s a zig zag pattern that gets you to the top of the mountain easier and with less strain than just trying to straight up.?

Catch the life metaphor? ??

So start today, and keep moving forward.?

-Write the words in your journal.

-Create the video.?

-Do that breathwork session.?

-Take that 2 minute ice bath.?

-Play with your kids for 5 minutes.?

-Do those 5 pushups, squats, or whatever..

Consistency is king.?
