According to this recent remarks made by Elon Musk, SpaceX is using its expertise in building and launching the most sophisticated rockets and spacecraft to produce Starlink satellites with the Direct to Cell capabilities on a large scale.
Initially, SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket will be used to launch Direct to Cell satellites, followed by Starship. While in orbit, the satellites will instantly establish a laser backhaul connection with the Starlink constellation, enabling worldwide access.?
