Star of the week - Take some time to celebrate ??

Why is it that our default option is often to give ourselves a hard time? If you have been struggling with burn out or stuck at a crossroads, I want to encourage you to break this cycle.???

?

This is a picture of my 4-year-old daughter Isabelle, who was so happy and proud of herself to be recognised as STAR of the week at school on Wednesday. ???

?

Just seeing her smile, and how excited she was to share this news with me, was such a great reminder of the importance of taking some time out to recognise and celebrate our successes. We do this all the time as children...

?

I want to kick things off by sharing some of my own successes. And then I want to inspire you to take 10 mins out today to do the same. Do this consistently and this will result in a massive shift in your mindset.?

?

Some of My WINS from the week?

?

  • Biggest event yet. I was invited as an expert speaker at a virtual event this week (How to navigate a career crossroads), in partnership with an amazing organisation called The Hub. The event was a truly international event with individuals dialling in from Asia, Africa, North America & Europe. I received some wonderful feedback, and it was incredibly uplifting ???

?

  • I Launched a NEW service which I have been working on for over 6 months – This is called Find Your Path - to help individuals to find their professional fulfilment. This officially starts next week, and has been incredibly well received.

?

  • I hosted a FREE practical coaching workshop for individuals who feel stuck, with over 30 individuals registering. The feedback keeps coming in and one attendee wrote?“I thought it was absolutely brilliant, thank you! I really think there is such incredible value in the work you are doing. I believe in the positive mindset being a fundamental part of life”?

?

  • Family time – I took time out to go to my son’s school assembly and he was so happy to see me there!

?

Just sharing these WINS has made me reflect on some of these special moments once again. I have had weeks where this can be harder, however building this in as a habit is key.???

?

This week I came across a quote on LinkedIn that really resonated... “Keep showing up. 99% of success is just showing up. In fact, most success is just persistence”.?

?

This is no different when it comes to celebrate your successes.?

?

Therefore, I want to encourage you to do the same today. To help, I would suggest that you turn off all notifications and have a quiet moment to yourself. And then with a calmer mind, write down 5 things this week that you have achieved which make you feel proud.???

?

If you are reading this, and your initial reaction is that there is very little to celebrate, then this is sign that you are doing exactly the right thing...

?

During an event this week, I spoke about the link between our thoughts our feelings and our actions. If right now, you are THINKING that you have achieved very little, then this will result in feelings of frustration and potentially anxiety. This will then impact your levels of positivity and motivation and your actions will suffer as a result. This all contributes to a vicious cycle which is a pattern you need to break. ?

?

This little exercise of sharing your WINS, will help you to THINK about the positive things you have accomplished. Even if just for 10 minutes you will feel more energised and positive. And this will help you to consider taking some more positive actions.?

?

I must warn you breaking these patterns if not easy and requires persistence, however there is never a better time than RIGHT NOW to get started!!! ?

?

Finally, if you find yourself at your own career crossroads, and would love to feel more motivated and inspired to go to work, then it is the last chance to register your interest in my new coaching programme called “Find Your Path”, which officially begins next week ??

Have a great weekend.
