#StanfordSpirit
Stanford University recently asked us to share our interpretation of #StanfordSpirit. It was a refreshing call-to-action - to find a concrete, sharable form of what Stanford Spirit means. But Spirit, by definition, could not really be seen in concrete, sharable form! How do I participate in this world-wide #StanfordSpirit sharing activity?
But it didn't take long for images of my recent 200 students from 4 Business Operations classes to fill up the body of the Spirit. These bright spirits (eh, pun intended) from Nanyang Business School (NBS) of Nanyang Technological University (NTU) pumped in hundreds of hours to complete 40 company operations analyses and presented them with tons of animated spirits in their 40 lively presentations. That's the Spirit!
So risking being a bit out of context but feeling every bit assured to myself that that's my interpretation of #StanfordSpirit, I boldly went ahead and posted the following to the Stanford Spirit Web Form:
#StanfordSpirit is about enlightening the next generation so that they love their world, build their world and thereby contribute to the world, while having some fun and laughter along the way!
Thank you, classes of S01, S04, S10 and S12 of BE1401 Business Operations and Processes! You have no idea how much more you have taught me than I have taught you! I hope you take all that you've learned, exponentiate them and conquer the world!
Thank you, Stanford University and Nanyang Technological University, both my alma mater, for the wonderful experience of receiving and giving learning, a flow which I have come to appreciate as living life.
This Christmas, I know I have lived.
