Standing Water, Serious Threats: A Call to Action Against Malaria and Dengue

The recent surge in malaria and dengue cases, particularly around construction sites, is a stark reminder of the dangers posed by standing water. It's an issue we've seen firsthand, even within our own company, and it's something we need to address head-on, both internally and across the industry.

At SB Aluform, we're calling on all developers and site managers to join us in this critical fight. We can't afford to be complacent. These diseases pose a serious risk to our workers, their families, and the communities we serve.

Understanding the Threat:

Malaria and dengue are spread by mosquitoes, posing a serious risk in areas with stagnant water, which is common at construction sites. We must proactively address this threat to protect our workers.

SB Aluform is taking action. We're doing the following:

  • Regular Fogging: We are implementing a rigorous schedule of fogging at all sites to eliminate adult mosquitoes.
  • Oiling Stagnant Water: We're diligently applying oil to any stagnant water sources to prevent mosquito larvae from developing.
  • Eliminating Standing Water: We're actively identifying and eliminating all potential breeding grounds on site.

We urge all developers and site managers to do the same. it's a collective responsibility to protect the health of everyone working on construction sites. By working together, we can create safer environments and prevent the spread of these serious diseases.

SB Aluform is dedicated to building more than just structures. We're building a safe and healthy community for our workers. This proactive approach reflects our commitment to their well-being.
