Standing stable as the Eiffel Tower

I press play and the song famous with Mason Ramsey starts playing, I raise the volume to the highest and starts walking to the same destination like many others, the Eiffel Tower. I enter the area around the Eiffel Tower and the only thing I can see is all these couples and families taking pictures of each other. I start smiling under the mask and think to myself ” I hope they all enjoy this moment, because you never know when it’s gone” ??

I continue walking near the Eiffel Tower and thinking about life and my next destination when reality drag me back with the text ”If I’m gonna go down in history, I hope it’s all cause of you and me..” My music is playing on the highest volume but I hear someone shouting ”Honey, Honey” My first thought was ”Who speaks in English when they’re in France except tourists like myself” The person starts to walk quicker and continues to shout ”Honey, honey” I now knew that she was trying to communicate with me so I stopped and took out my headphones.

The girl in the age of 20-25 starts to explain that she is doing charity work for handicapped & deaf people. She asked if I would like to donate a small amount of money. My first response was ” I don’t have money” and she insists that no donation is too big or too small. I think to myself ”I would normally ignore her in Sweden and say no but I thought to myself Why not? I’m in a different country and an action with kindness is never a bad thing.

I put my hand into my jacket when a guy appears from nowhere who starts to shout aggressively towards this woman and he looks at me and starts to shout in French and I calmly say ”Calm down, everything is alright” The man calms down but switch in two seconds and pushes this girl into to the bushes which makes me fuming on the inside.. But I knew that I couldn’t loose my temper in this situation. I grab the man by the arm and I repeatedly ask him to calm down and that everything is alright. I look around and see that lots people have stopped to follow the drama.. The man is talking in French to me and I tell him slowly ”I don’t speak French” He finally understand and stops talking to me in French and becomes quiet. Instead he change his focus to the girl who had support of her other girl friends and the man had support of his friends. The girls shouts call the police and I think to myself ”How do I always end up in situations like this?” The ONLY thing I wanted was a chill day with music and my own thoughts nothing else.. But here I was, in a foreign country in a drama which I more or less created.. ??

They continue to shout at each other and I see my chance to escape everything. I plug in my headphones and play the music on the highest volume and starts walking. I didn’t come far when I hear the same girl shout ”Honey, Honey, Honey” I thought to myself ”FUCK YOU EDWIN!” We continue the conversation and I repeatedly say ”I don’t want any problems.. I just want to be left alone with my music and thoughts. People starts to gather around us and everyone is speaking aggressively to each other in French.. A language I know nothing about. I decide to to give her the donation like I said to end this drama.. I press play and the music Is playing on the highest volume as I’m leaving the people and drama behind me. I think to myself ”How did this situation occur? What’s next?” ??

I’m standing opposite the Eiffel Tower with a safe distance from the drama.. I think to myself ” I have come far but I still have long way to walk but soon.. Soon will I stand as stable as the Eiffel Tower.. Soon..Soon.
