Standing on the shoulders of giants
A word, a rhythm, a thought, a dream,
A stolen moment, left unseen,
A hope, a fear, an endless love,
A letter sent to heaven above.
?
A diary, a letter, a shared moment of grief,
You’re not alone, a feeling of peace. ?
A moment, a song, a tribute too,
An inspiration, when you don’t know what to do.
?
Giving a voice to your hopes and dreams,
So love can be shared, more alike than it seems.
A message in a bottle, footprint in the sand,
A legacy left, when they can’t hold your hand.
?
Uniting us all, in hope and verse,
Our poems connect us, for better, for worse.
A beat of a word, a verse, a phrase,
A dance of a pen, on your white page.
?
Crossing boundaries, timeless and true,
Poetic justice, for old, for new.
Immortalised moments, woven like a song,
That will always remain, long after you're gone.
?
From the brave, the lonely, the young and the free,
You can stand on the shoulder of giants and see,
The words of the past, the future too,
They’re all there, ready to inspire you. ?
?
For me poetry is the voice of my soul,
My joy, my dreams, it makes me feel whole,
My heart on my sleeve, with what life will command,
It’s my memories and footprints in the sand. ?
