We have come a long way as a community, as an industry and as an association. Help us go farther by coming out today and voting for your candidates.
In the end it doesn't matter who you really vote for. All ten candidates on the ballot today come from terrific backgrounds. 7 of them are good friends. Three I haven't had the pleasure of meeting but have seen them engage on our various forums. If I had ten votes, I would vote for all of them. I have 5 and it's going to be a tough call casting them today.
Polling stations in three cities open in another twenty minutes. Stand up and be counted. You are Pakistan Software Houses Association . Make sure that you vote today and make your voice heard.
Where we are today is only due to the consistent and combined efforts made over the last 17 years by colleagues and fellow CEC members who over the years became good friends. Jehan Ara, Ashraf Kapadia, Sultan Hamdani, Naseer A. Akhtar, Shoab Khan, Nadeem A. Malik, Imran Zia, Arooj Alam Khan, Owais Zaidi, Jamal Khan, Yusuf Jan, Nadeem Ellahi, Faizan Siddiqi, Zohaib Khan, Shahzad Shahid, Syed Ahmad, Monis Rahman, Amin Ansari, Sajjad Kirmani, Syed Ali, Badar Khushnood, Zafar Khan Afaque Ahmed, Lutfullah Khan, Abdul Aziz, Khurram Samad, Talha Munir Khan and Saleem Ghouri.
Luftullah Sahib left us last night. Rodney Rahman left us last year. Others in the list above have taken a step back after giving for years. They were all there in the beginning when we had to beg people to help us run the association. They all gave time and money when they had none to spare.
I am sure I have missed out on a lot of names. We didn't always see eye to eye and we quite often fought both on and off the CEC platform but we always kept and put the industry ahead of our interests.
When you vote today remember industries, associations and communities are not built in a day. It takes years of sacrifices, courage and commitment. Win or lose as long as we recognize the contribution made by our benefactors and the work done by teams that came before us and put the interest of the community above ours we all win.
Best of luck, my friends. Do well today and always remember how far we have come from our humble beginnings.
