As I continue to advocate for women and minority women in cybersecurity, I make sure that I am doing it not only for the ones trying to get into the industry now but also for the ones in the generations after me. I am incredibly honored to share that I have been selected as the honoree for Groundbreaking Leadership at the 11th Annual Central Exchange STEMMy Awards! This recognition is a testament to the years I’ve dedicated to championing and leading women in cybersecurity. As the president of WiCyS Kansas City Metroplex (Serving Kansas and Missouri), my mission has always been to advocate for diversity and inclusion in our field, and this award fuels my passion even more.

Leadership in cybersecurity, particularly for women, is not just about guiding the next generation; it's about reshaping the field's landscape. It involves creating a space where women are not only included but integral to innovation and decision-making. Groundbreaking Leaders in STEM recognize the unique challenges and barriers women face and actively work to dismantle them, fostering an environment where young girls and women can see themselves as participants and pioneers.

In addition to my work with WiCyS, I have led initiatives to build the next generation of women in cybersecurity by providing programs for underrepresented high school girls. I believe we must see the girl in a world that does not usually see her.

I want to give heartfelt congratulations to all the other amazing honorees who are blazing paths and breaking barriers in their respective STEM fields. Your achievements inspire us all!

As President of Women in CyberSecurity Kansas and Missouri, I am happy to announce our virtual career fair! If you are in the market to be recruited for a part—or full-time job, entry-level position, or internship, it’s time to update your resume!

The Career Fair will be held on September 25th from 11 am to 4 pm CT. Spreading Equality Across the Globe!?

I am thrilled to say that Navigating the Digital Frontier: Cyber Security in Today's World, an event held by myself and my expert colleagues, Dr. Delancey Bolding Ph.D. s, Dr. RAS Geddes, and Olabimpe Adeloro, was an amazing success! On September 15th, we spoke on cyber threats, safeguarding online presence, technological advancements, and building cyber-resilient networks. It was an amazing time as we had the opportunity to touch on new and impactful aspects of our digital age!?
