Stand With Russia Against Bullys yes Bullies

It is exasperating to see how the world is purporting to dissect geo-politics using emotions. Right now is when we tend to stand with Ukraine after Russia has started invading them. Why can't we take a stand and observe the long years of the cold war and the tension between America and Russia? As we all know, other than those who don't know, America has really mastered the art of promoting its universal agenda through well-orchestrated PR management that uses media and alliances.
Let me ask you readers a simple question, when expanding NATO eastward five times to the vicinity of Russia and deploying advanced offensive strategic weapons in breach of its assurances to Russia, did the US ever think about the consequences of pushing a big country to the wall? This is provocation!! Ukraine is one of the countries that receives a big chunk of the US military budget allocation.
What many don't know is the fact that America never takes a stand to fight wars that it doesn't benefit from. In every war that the US has ever participated in all in the name of peace, the aftermath has always been a broken country that has no slightest chance of recovering from the consequential results. Take, for example, Iraq and Libya. Do we ever take a moment to reflect upon the state of these countries that are left crippled because of the instability that is linked to the campaign of 'Global Peace'? Citizens of these countries are still suffering.
Libya was once a potential giant that has since been left behind economically and politically, her natural resources were siphoned and the citizens were left with a white flag representing a badge of 'newly acquired freedom'. America has managed to polarise the rest of the world against Russia, is this the most prudent way of resolving the issue at hand or is it the easiest in the short term? I believe that there are better ways to do so. We can go ahead and compare the number of times Russia has started war against other countries versus the US and collectively analyze the aftermath in terms of how the local citizens have been impacted.
In war, we not only lose the lives of the dead, but we also lose the lives of those who try to recover from its aftermath. Let me introduce you to the concept, well taught in Business schools, Systems thinking. This is the rationale behind this concept, when evaluating the optimal performance of a given system, we do not focus on the factors that reinforce that system only we should also take into consideration the factors that balance the system. Right now we are busy singing about Action being taken against Russia, reinforcing more violence instead of looking for the balancing alternatives. Rationally speaking, if every country would turn against #Russia, shall we not be doing the same thing that we are preaching against? Violence. We are talking about lives in Ukraine, it only makes sense to consider the lives of Russian citizens too.

I am not defending his actions by no means but Putin is among the most reasonable presidents that we have seen in the past three or so decades, better than the majority or some of the worlds' renowned presidents combined (I can prove it), time and again he has advocated peace over war despite the tension that has spanned the majority of US presidents tenure. Right now he has been pushed to the brink, cornered... What do you think his response will be? He's human, subject to the reflexes we all face when in panic. Think about it, what could be his possible reaction? Submit? Give in?
Well, I will quote the famous writings of William Shakespeare in The Merchant of Venice,
... Hath the Russians not eyes? Hath not a Russian hands, organs, dimensions, senses, affections, passions, fed with the same food, hurt with the same weapons, subject to the same diseases, healed by the same means, warmed and cooled by the same winter and summer as an American is? If you prick them do they not bleed? If you tickle them do they not laugh? If you poison them do they not bleed? And if you wrong Russians shall they not revenge? If they are like you the rest, they will resemble you in that. If a Russian wrongs an American, what is his humility? Revenge. If an American wrong a Russian, what should his sufferance be by American example? Why, revenge. The villany you teach me I will execute, and it shall go hard but I will better the instruction...
What do we learn from all these? As I finish, I would like to tell you a little story, 'A guy was seated next to a 10-year-old girl on an airplane. Being bored, he turned to the girl and said, "Let's talk. I've heard that flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger." The girl who was reading a book closed it slowly and said to the guy, "What would you like to talk about?" The guy replied, "Oh, I don't know, how about nuclear power?" "OK," she said. "That could be an interesting topic... But let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff... Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, and a horse produces clumps of dried grass. Why do you suppose that is?" The guy thought about it and said, "Hmmm, I have no idea." To which the girl replied, "Do you really feel qualified to discuss nuclear power and Ukraine invasion when you don't know shit (I mean the subtle things that we ignore but matter the most)?"
The world is facing big battles, pollution, the global carbon footprint is increasing by the day, people are dying!! Every single life matters, let's find a way of resolving issues without stirring this conflict further. Save more lives. America has failed to fix its own broken system, growth in the #unemployment rates, broken #justice system, increase in #racism, increase in the income inequality gap, just to name a few. What do they really know about what works for this world? We are being such a PETA when we talk of peace while we preach war. Now let's talk about shit because we cannot solve the problem of the world from the top.
Nice article, haha I was to ask why are you defending Putin until I read your 6th paragraph and I truly agree, over 18 yrs of the presidency, he has done a lot like, been against the killing of Gadaffi, he may have flip-flopped on economic issues but he has consistently moved toward greater consolidation of his own power. Remember in 2004/5 not quite sure ,when he signed a law that allows presidents to appoint regional governors! . the list is endless of his good deeds that not only shaped his country but also changed the world. But on this one Ukraine, I think he's the one who started it.
